I found this on our garage door last week, greeting me as I was about to start a load of laundry. It gave me a little bit of a scare when I first saw it move, especially since it had just gotten dark outside and as I turned on the light, there she was. What an awesome insect!

we saw one with your girls this summer too. They were amazed then too...we all were...It'll be a sad day when we're not amazed by a praying mantis.
