Mexico: Day One

Nearly two weekends ago was a whirlwind. We had just celebrated Sofia's birthday (which I have pictures of but probably won't end up posting) and as soon as school was over for me Friday morning, we packed up and headed out.

Our trip was planned around building a small loft house through Hands of Mercy for a family who needed it. It was an incredible blessing to be able to take part in this trip, to take our girls along and experience this together.

Day One (Friday afternoon):
After a few hours of driving (our girls did great, though no naps) we finally arrived in Mexico. We were just in time for some tacos from one of the many taquerías lining the streets of Ensenada.

already on to her chicle for dessert

We were serenaded by this boy as we ate.

That night we settled into our camp, and enjoyed a great sunset.

Nice! I would love to go with you some time. You did a great thing for the people there.
